novemberkills
Long Island based band novemberkills have always been the poster-boys of DIY. Relentless (and shameless) self promotion have proved effective for the boys of November, who built their throne on Long Island with thousands of fliers, free samplers, comps, interviews, and hundreds of shows. Word spread fast, and traveled far. Especially after embarking on several self-booked, self-financed tours to support their first self-released full length, which sparked international interest.

Now, forget everything you just read.
2005 marks the rebirth of the band; a more mature take on that same DIY attitude. After undergoing a singer change late in 2004, they never missed a beat. In less than a month, the newly fronted novemberkills signed to up-and-coming indie label, Hotfoot Records, and constructed the 12 songs that would become their backbone.

Russian Roulette, the group's sophomore release, is a beautiful display of their diverse range and ability to explore new frontiers. Deeply emotional and extremely powerful, the band reaches to both ends of the musical spectrum on this record, seamlessly stitching catchy hooks into furious breakdowns for a sound that is all their own.
