Waiting For a Miracle
Hailing from Burlington, VT this 5-piece rock outfit formed in early 2005. After over a year of hard work, live shows, and writing the band entered the studio to record their debut LP with Unearth's Ken Susi. Made up of Vermont natives Joe Villemaire, Matt Barron and Hans Olson, they pulled in New York native Ben Fine. From there, the band sought for a dynamic front man with a strong melodic voice.
They found it in Matt O'Neil who had previously fronted Burlington rockers Fallback. The addition of O'Neil helped polish the band's unique blend of metallic rock and melodic hardcore while adding an influence of pop as well. This is the sound that made Hotfoot Records out of Long Island NY fall in love. Joe Villemaire and Hans Olson have common ground in their history within the infamous Drowningman.
Villemaire performed on the groundbreaking “How They
Light Cigarettes in Prison” EP and “Rock and Roll Killing Machine” LP and the tours that followed while guitarist Hans Olson recorded and toured in the revived 2005 line-up of the band. Though both are now at a different place musically, the experience of national touring in the past has only strengthened their drive.
In the end, it’s just five dudes, average age 24, average dude ranking 100, average love for each other…off the charts. So be a dude, or a dudette, and get ready to rock when you see Waiting for a Miracle.
